God’s Box and how “body thinking leads to imagination” prompted in me the idea that the practice of using God’s Box is a way to retrain neural pathways, or build new ones. Both Joe Dispenza’s and Bruce Lipton’s work come to mind in this regard, as does Candace Pert’s.
go hand-in-hand—change the feeling, the body response changes; change the body response, emotions shift. I imagine that letting go of worries and concerns by physically placing them into God’s Box, and presuming that a feeling of relief and peace becomes present in doing so, “wires” the physiology, the inner sensations and response. That is, through physically practicing letting go and letting God, it seems the body would learn a new pattern of response, one that supports emotional and mental well-being and peace.
You mentioned, “In the first mediation, I saw almost my first God’s Box. I imagined how all of my problems pour into it like a stream of black letters and words, changing into flowing lines.”
transpersonal and powerful. To be able to connect with your research topic so greatly is a beautiful experience. I always used. to think of research as something so cold, sterile, and heady, but to be in a spiritual state with your research topic is the whole point of transpersonal psychology for me. It’s like the saying, “practice what you preach.” Everything should be transpersonal not just the outcome of the research but every step taken. Thanks for your share!
I noticed that you mentioned in the final “Skill Use” an invitation to “broaden the future research scope.” Fantastic! As I read through your post, I was thinking along the same lines. The ..practicing God’s Box could help anybody who wants to strengthen. It is their self-esteem and overall wellbeing, not only Al-Anon members. Indeed, this research will have broad applications. You have my support!
