The UHC Compendium is a database of health services and intersectoral interventions design. To assist countries in making progress towards Universal Health Coverage (UHC). The database for the Compendium spans the full spectrum of promotive. The health actions can be grouped dynamically into categories such as health programmes, life-course stage, and SDG goals. This version of the database provides a global reference point for organizing and presenting information on health interventions for UHC.
The UHC Compendium has also been design to support countries in integrate service delivery. And a key innovation is a structure architecture that promotes linkages across health system levels. WHO will expand the UHC Compendium to include linkages of health interventions to various service delivery platforms.
WHO intends to expand the content of the Compendium over time to provide additional details, including the following:
- Resource requirements to deliver health services, including. Tasks used in the diagnosis and treatment of ill health. Equipment and other health products; health worker time. And links to evidence on effectiveness.
- A comprehensive list of inter-sectoral and population-based interventions. Along with the resource requirements for these interventions.
- A selection tool to guide benefit package decision making processes. The tool will allow country users to choose between alternative interventions and actions. And assess the relevant resource requirements and costs related to their selection
