Definition/Conceptualization- The construct at the center of the research question is the relationship between coping styles and spirituality. For many years, people have viewed spirituality as an effective buffer against difficulties and stressful situations (Krok, 2008). One of these situations is alcoholism and addiction, which leads to distress in families and friends due to fear, worry, and obsession.
Alcoholism has been know by a variety of terms, including alcohol abuse and alcohol dependence. Today, it’s refer to as alcohol use disorder.

People with alcohol use disorder will continue to drink even when drinking causes negative consequences, like losing a job or destroying relationships with people they love. They may know that their alcohol use negatively affects their lives, but it’s often not enough to make them stop drinking.
Some people may drink alcohol to the point that it causes problems, but they’re not physically dependent on alcohol. This used to be referred to as alcohol abuse.
There is a lack of research on Alanon, in particular. It is on the positive implications of the 12-step program on friends and family of the addicts. Most of the research concentrate on addiction and alcoholism. Therefore, this research focuses on investigating if Al-Anon members can reduce their worries and obsessions by taking an action. If so, how often they will need to take this action?. It is Is the action (writing in God’s box) able to reduce their obsession with other components. This of life like finance or only with the relationship with the addict? .Do people who live with the addict/alcoholic feel a better relief compared to Al-Anon members who do not live with the addict /alcoholic?
