Pick out one or two of the ideas and respond to them (do not respond to all of the ideas). Do not agree with the writer and do not confuse your ideas for their ideas.
You need to have a slightly different opinion than the writer has ! Do not summarize the article. Instead, use in-text citation, using quotations and paraphrase.

Even paraphrases should be followed by in-text citation n your critical response post (400 words), take ONE of the following approaches.
Disagreeing with the main idea Disagreeing with a supporting idea Disagreeing with one or more causes or effects noted in the reading (Identify a missing cause. Identify a missing effect.)
Extending an idea in the reading by applying it to another situation or case Extending an idea in the reading by considering it in a different context Extending the reading by applying its idea(s) to a different group of people.
Extending the reading by showing how its ideas apply to a different time Explaining what the author(s) is missing out Organize your ideas in paragraph structure.
That is, have a thesis, a very short introduction, and body paragraphs. Two body paragraphs are appropriate. A conclusion is not necessary.
