POLICY 1.01 Recruitment and Hiring
It shall be the policy of the Middleton City Police Department (MCPD) to recruit and select personnel in a manner that is consistent with the department’s needs. The department has determined that the best candidates are those born and raised in Nebraska. Therefore, only current, lifelong residents of Nebraska are eligible to apply for a position with the department.
The purpose of this Personnel Selection Program is to ensure a fair and equitable selection process regardless of race, creed, color, sex, or national origin. Applicants for the position of police officer who are older than the age of 35 are ineligible for employment.
