the essay will be on the file i have attached please carefully understand the details on how to complete this one page paper! thank you! write a one-page essay in response. The response paper must comprise a response, i.e., some analysis and commentary. Find a main argument (or even the main argument) from the reading; introduce your point and contextualize it; analyze it; and make some commentary. An essay is always an argument, so your paper must contain an introduction which introduces and contextualizes your topic of interest from the reading; it must contain several premises; and it must contain a conclusion.
The conclusion must be the same idea as your thesis. The purpose of the conclusion is to recapture the thesis without simply restating it. You must do all of this within one page. The topic is basically “open” – meaning, it is mostly up to you – but there are limited options to choose from. That is, you can only choose a topic which Arnheim speaks on at length, and which is the subject of some main argument from the book. Specifications: Length: one page, (~250 words) Double spaced. Never, ever use single spacing. 12pt font is preferred; never use smaller than 10pt font, ever. Firstly, Always use correct grammar and punctuation. Always write in complete sentences. Always use scholarly language only, absolutely no slang or “street language” or other vernacularisms.
Write in English only. I do speak and read several languages proficiently, some of them fluently, but, here, we compose in English. Submit PDF files only. You have access to the full Adobe suite for free through TUportal. Include a title which explains something to your reader about the paper. Number every page, including the first page, in the bottom right-hand corner of the page, in the footer. Do not append names/surnames to page numbers. This latter is a pet-pieve of mine, which irks me to no end, and I do dock points for it. Cite your sources according to one scholarly convention (AMA, APA, MLA, Chicago). You may use any style you like, but you must choose one and stick to it. For example, if you use parenthetical citations you may not also use Chicago footnotes.
Every citation must contain a page number! Use the following header. Include all of this information and only this information: Name REL-2007-701 Response Paper #1 Date Do. Not. Put. The. Header. In. The. Body. Of. The. Paper. Do not put the header into the body of the paper! Use the “insert” function to place the header where it goes: in the preformatted header slot, at the top left-hand corner of the paper. A properly inserted header shows up on every page, including the first page, and it does not take away from the length of the paper’s body. This is another pieve of mine which irks me even more than surnames appended to page numbers. These formatting specifications will be standard for every paper you write, so familiarize yourself with them now.
