Physical Education has technology specific to itself such as pedometers, heart rate monitors. And wearables, but there are many other pieces of technology that you might not think of when you think of Physical Education. When it comes to incorporating technology into the physical education setting I would do a lot of work with videos, apps, and wearable technology.
We currently use the TeamBuildR App to track strength training lifts and maxes. I think this is a great tool and I think. We could benefit from incorporating something similar into the other physical education classrooms. One suggestion I would make to my schools HPED curriculum committee would. The implementation of heart rate monitors. The other PE classes tend to have issues with effort kids put into class, grading, and parent involvement due to these issues.
If they are not putting in that effort then we have the data to support that claim in case. Parents get involved asking why their child has a poor grade. My gym uses MyZone heart rate monitors which come with. An app that allows for adjusting zones based on age, fitness level, and other factors.
