This essay focuses on The sample Talent Goal Frame. the creation of new knowledge rather than recall (see Figure 5.2). The investigation
for the investigation aptitude continues to develop the core problem posed in the goal for STEM engagement. Here, students practice the discipline of collecting and graphing data on class sports injuries in order to explain the various ratio relationships. Both the subject matter of ratio relationships and the aptitude for investigation are applied in a performance of understanding that demonstrates transfer of learning and the creation of new knowledge rather than recall (see Figure 5.2). The investigation-focused goal and performance of understanding could appropriately target another STEM aptitude such as mathematical reasoning or target cross-domain aptitudes such as curiosity and persistence. Clustering several aptitudes in a goal provides more opportunities for students to discover and develop their aptitudes as innovators.
Investigation Cluster Goal Students will use curiosity, persistence, and investigation to explore the ratio relationships among sports injuries. Motivate, Engage, and Develop Investigation Talent Investigations begin. This is with questions, and these should be of interest and importance to the learners. The question of how we can better understand data on sports injuries. This is in order to prevent them is intrinsically motivating through an authentic and novel application. This is of STEM content.
The goal answers the “why” for learning the skills and concepts of ratio relationships. This is apply to a situation that greatly affects them and their peers. Students exercise autonomy as they interpret the data through different scenarios and competence as they use data to help them identify the best directions for their sports injury prevention product. The meaningful tasks foster involvement with their peers and the greater community.
